Promotion: Rob Zellar

Old Republic Title is pleased to announce that Rob Zellar, Executive Vice President of Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, has been promoted to the newly established position of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).

The continuous transformation of real estate-related businesses and the influx of innovation that helps facilitate and protect transactions are having a profound impact on the title insurance industry. Our Company is dedicated to maintaining its focus on long-term, strategic responses to these factors. The role of CSO is being established to assist the Company in anticipating the future and mobilizing to meet opportunities and challenges as they unfold. As CSO, Rob will serve as a bridge between current demands and long-term planning, working collaboratively with the Executive Leadership Team and designated stakeholders throughout the Company. He will support leadership in executing on the Company’s enterprise-wide vision and focusing on long-term revenue growth, innovation and profitability. 

Rob joined the Company in 2008 as Vice President, ORNTIC, and Business Development Representative for the National Agency Services Division, based in Columbus, Ohio. In 2010, he advanced to First Vice President, ORNTIC, and then was promoted to Senior Vice President, ORNTIC, and Manager, National Business Development in July 2015. Rob joined Old Republic Title’s Executive Leadership Team in March 2017 and was appointed Executive Vice President, ORNTIC, and Director of Corporate Development.

Rob has served in many executive leadership roles throughout his title and real estate industry career. He worked in the development of internet-based real estate marketing and automated valuation model (AVM) solutions; the formation, operation, and growth of affiliate title and mortgage operations with the nation’s fourth largest real estate company; and leadership operations for one of the nation’s largest joint venture mortgage companies.

Rob learned the title insurance business from the ground up by working with a Columbus, Ohio-based title insurance agent, where he eventually served as COO and principal owner, contributing to its growth as one of the largest title operations in the Midwest. A common thread in Rob’s experience has been developing and launching innovative technology solutions that had a profound impact on the success of the companies he served.

A graduate of Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio, Rob earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and history. He continued his post-graduate studies in the MBA program at the Bowling Green State University’s Graduate School of Business. He has served on numerous industry boards, most recently completing a multi-year position on the Mortgage Bankers Association Residential Board of Governors.
