Effective January 1, 2025, Kent M. Lewis, Senior Vice President of Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and Deputy General Counsel, was promoted to General Counsel, Old Republic National Title Holding Company. In conjunction with his promotion, he was appointed Executive Vice President and joined Old Republic Title’s Executive Leadership Team.
As General Counsel, Kent provides in-house counsel on a range of legal matters, helping the Company navigate legal complexities, underwriting, corporate governance, contracts, regulatory compliance, privacy, claims, intellectual property, litigation and more. In his new role, he reports to me.
Kent succeeds Kevin R. Chiarello, EVP of ORNTIC and General Counsel, ORNTHC, who has transitioned to an advisory role supporting Kent and the Corporate Legal Department until his retirement.
Kent joined Old Republic Title in 2010 as Claims Counsel. Prior to that, he served as Claims Counsel at another national title insurance underwriter. In 2016, he was appointed Vice President of Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and became Counsel for the National Services Division (now Enterprise Services), providing underwriting assistance to national title agents and working with the direct businesses of the division.

A graduate of Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, Kent earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and his Juris Doctor degree at Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska.
